Commercial Carpet Maintenance Technician Certification Course
The Commercial Carpet Maintenance Technician (CCMT) certification covers an academic and practical assessment of commercial carpet and maintenance processes and procedures. Emphasis is on the ANSI/IICRC S100 Standard for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings, carpet cleaning methodologies, safety procedures, and developing standard operating procedures for individuals who will perform these procedures in the field. Upon achieving this certification, you have demonstrated you know the importance of preventative, daily, interim, and deep cleaning and how they contribute to the overall success of the commercial carpet maintenance program. $80.00 IICRC Examination fee NOT included.
Description
The primary audience is designed to teach entry-level commercial carpet cleaning techniques to individuals engaged in the maintenance of commercial facilities. It is recommended that a technician has at least six months of experience. After taking this course, the individual will have a better understanding of:
- The materials to clean and maintain carpets, the manufactures’ specifications and requirements
- How to meet and balance expectations,
- Identify hazards in floor maintenance and the implementation of safety controls for the protection of the technician and the public
- Provide information about the various components required to clean and maintain the carpet.
- These components will include chemicals, equipment, tools, materials, and industry-accepted service methodologies based on manufacturers’ recommendations, and show examples of textile floor maintenance programs for commercial textile flooring.
